Beyond Condition was founded in 2014 as a reporting web-app — software designed to take the pain out of building inspection reporting. For over ten years we refined it with real surveyors doing real inspections.
In 2025 we pivoted the business to bring consulting and broader software development under the same roof. What was formerly known as the Beyond Condition webapp was rebranded as CamReport and completely refactored — becoming the world’s first inspection app without form filling. At the same time, Craig’s building consulting practice became a formal arm of the firm, grounding every product decision in field experience and giving clients access to both capabilities in one place.
Craig is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and one of Australia’s most experienced building consultants. With more than 20 years in the industry, he specialises in at-scale built asset data collection, building pathology, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex property decisions.
His practice spans all eight Australian states and territories, and he has been involved in over $3 billion in due diligence transactions. Craig is the author of The Building Detective and serves as Chair of the RICS Member Engagement Group (QLD). He brings a rare combination of deep field experience and analytical rigour to every engagement.
The founding principle behind Craig’s work is straightforward: clients should never have to make decisions about how to spend money on buildings without full visibility of their risk profiles. Everything he does is oriented toward giving them that visibility.
Ben is a seasoned technologist, entrepreneur and product architect with more than 25 years of experience building software products, leading engineering teams, and designing scalable technology platforms. He started programming at around 12 years old — by the time he reached university, he already had years of hands-on experience to draw from.
His career spans Wotif (high-performing agile delivery at the leading edge of Australian software practice), Transaction Network Services (payment integrations with international banks, acquirers and processors, including American Express across multiple regions), and attract.ai — an AI-driven talent sourcing platform he co-founded in 2017, which used evolutionary algorithms and vector similarity techniques to search and analyse hundreds of millions of candidate profiles.
Crucially, Ben built production AI systems from scratch well before November 2022 — before “everyone became an AI thought leader.” He understands the fundamentals, the constraints, and the real limits of the technology, and can communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences. That grounding underpins every product decision at Beyond Condition.
